Description

J.B. Becker Wallufer Berg Bildstock Riesling Auslese 1992

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Riesling from the Wallufer Berg Bildstock grand cru vineyards in Rheingau, Germany

Taste Profile: The alcohol, although at 14.5%, does not play a dominant role at all, but rather hides. The acidity and extract balance this perfectly into a lean and at the same time quite creamy, caramelly, brioche-laden wine. Quince and baked apple on the nose, star fruit, anise, a bit of lavender, even a hint of juniper, flower meadow. With the age, stewed marmalade & preserved honey flavours develop

The whole thing ends long and yet always remains extremely charming and creamy. Shows wonderful fullness, the slight viscosity and the amount of glycerine caused by the alcohol also contribute a lot to this. We have fine botrytis aromas and an extremely stimulating petrol note.
