DAOU Vineyards Discovery Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot & 11% Petit Verdot from Paso Robles in California, USA.

Taste Profile: Heady aromas of black plum, Zante currant, frankincense and sage. Trailing scents of blackberry, cardamom and espresso bean reveal accents of vanilla, saddle leather and cinnamon toast. On the palate, fine-grained tannins provide structure and support for rich flavors of black cherry, raspberry and mulberry, while secondary layers offer black olive, sandalwood and dark chocolate. A velvety texture finishes with lingering impressions of chocolate-covered cherry, dried herbs and toasty oak.

Winemaking Process: 8 months in 50% new French oak
