Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot from Tuscany, Italy. It is named after the farmhouse on one of the hills called “Le Tassinaie”, which means “the place of the stones”. The fruit comes from 2 vineyards, Tregge & Porta Rossa vineyards, which have sandy soils with subtle gravel, guaranteeing freshness.
Taste Profile: The nose opens with elegant aromas of berries, enriched with pleasant spicy notes of tobacco. On the palate it has a delicate acidity and a pleasantly tannic structure
Winemaking Process: After 16 months aging in tonneaux of French oak, the varieties are blended and allowed to age in bottle for at least 12 months before sale.
Powerful modern reds with the ability to age. They tend to be very intense, with ripe fruit, firm tannins & drinkability either young or cellared.
They often have notes of forest floor, blackcurrant, mint & eucalyptus
