Adegas Guìmaro is a small family winery producing a small and selected amount of wines in the traditional way. They own 8 hectares comprising of 30 to 100 years old vines and work another 12-14 ha. which are controlled by them.

Description

Guímaro A Ponte 2019

Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of primarily Mencía, as wel as Caiño, Souson, Brancellao, Merenzao. A single vineyard wine, Finca A Ponte, located at the highest part of Amandi at 400-550 meters above sea level from 10 years old vines planted on granite and slate soils.

Taste Profile: Clean and fresh, floral, spiced notes, quite juice and fresh on the palate, finesse and elegance all the way till the end. It's a wine that displays good complexity & depth, from young to cellared

Winemaking Process: Hand harvested, fermented in conical tanks with indigenous yeasts, full clusters grapes. The wine matures in a 5000-l. oak barrel for 16 -18 months, bottled in March 2021 without clarifying or filtering.
