Description

Fantinel One & Only Spumante 2022

Grape Varietals & Regions: 100% Glera from Tauriano, Prosecco DOC. Single vineyard selection

Taste Profile: Subtle straw yellow color. Intense floral aromatics, with delicate & elegant fruity essences. Inviting & velvety on the palate.

Winemaking Process: hand-harvested and visually selected grapes undergo the crushing-destemming process, but not the pressing one, in order to extract, just
through a static draining, the free-run juice (30% by the draining); the must is directly introduced in small “autoclave” (stainless steel tanks) for the fermentation and sparkling process with selected natural yeasts (Charmat Method - 120 days).

Youthful & Spritzy Sparklings

Light, citrus driven & fun, a lot of these sparklings tend to have floral or tree fruit aromas like green apples. In more crisp styles, they are often more floral or citrus driven, and can be slightly sweet in more apple or pear driven fizzante styles

Charmat Method

Often called the tank method, the wine is made sparkling by conducting second fermentation in large pressurised tanks. It forces carbon dioxide to carbonate the wine as it cannot escape, and is the method to make Prosecco.
They tend to be slightly fruitier and have less fine bubbles compare to sparklings made in the traditional method
