Chateau de Fonbel Saint-Emilion Rouge 2016

Grape Varietals & Region: 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Carmenère and 5% Petit Verdot from Saint Emilion, Bordeaux. The soils are sandy-gravelly.

Tasting Notes: Château de Fonbel 2016 is a concentrated red wine with aromas of ripe red and black plums, spicy notes and hints of toast and tobacco. A very fruity, flavoursome and elegant wine that reveals lovely tannins and a long and refreshing finish. Winemaking Process: The average age of the vines in the vineyard is 20 years and the harvest is done manually. The fermentation takes place in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats and the aging takes place in barrels of which 30% are new for 12 months
