Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay from Paso Robles, USA. This Chardonnay comes from higher-elevation vineyards that are predominantly planted to soils of loam and limestone.
Taste Profile: Presents enticing scents of pear, passion fruit and pineapple augmented by hints of honeysuckle, white peach, nutmeg and buttered toast. The nose is rounded out by nuances of crushed hazelnut, hibiscus, papaya and vanilla. A lush, vibrant palate displays tropical flavors of mango, kiwi and pineapple with kisses of golden apple and clover honey. Suggestions of casaba melon, citrus zest and toasty oak persist on a clean, balanced finish.
Winemaking Process: 5 months 30% new French oak
Succulent stonefruit with a citrus backbone characterises these wines. Typically, they have notes of tropical fruit, and come from warmer climates. A touch of oak during the winemaking process also helps to give some softness to the wine.
