Cellar Door Collection: Christmas Gang
A collaboration between NFT collector BrownWorkGlov3 and BoundbyWine.
About the label
BBW has once again joined forces with Brownworkglov3 for a festive celebration, unveiling another exciting wine collaboration. This Christmas, we are thrilled to showcase a fitting art piece by the talented artist Tseiya, hailing from Asia. Known for his captivating juxtaposed artworks that seamlessly blend a morbid yet pleasant style, Tseiya has taken the art world by storm, amassing fervent collectors over the years.
Tseiya initiated the remarkable “Ordinary Gang!” Series, featuring 100 individual portrait arts. These portraits serve as profile images for collectors, reflecting influential personalities from the annals of history. Each piece in the series encapsulates a unique "soul" with an enduring look, setting them apart from typical portrait illustrations.
Inspired by the OG! series, we collaborated with Tseiya to create a special "Christmas Edition" for our Aurora red. This beautiful rendition is a rework of his original "OG Happy holiday" art piece on the blockchain, a gift to each OG! collector, including Brownworkglov3. Not only does this work bestow the lively essence of Christmas, but it also allows us to preserve Tseiya's "original" illustration strokes from his most iconic portrait artworks. We genuinely hope to bring joy to all of you through our passion for wine and art, seamlessly blending the two for everyone to appreciate and enjoy.
About the Wine
Grape Varietals & Region: Aurora Chateau Aurora a joyous marriage of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot. The fruit comes from vineyards planted on terraces at 850 metres altitude in the village Auora on the mountains of North Batroun, Lebanon. The vineyards use eco-friendly farming techniques (dry farming, organic cattle fertilisers) and have typically clay and limestone soils. The terroir experience moderate four seasons that offer adequate rainfall to the vines, and the terraces help to retain rainwater and avoid landslides on this mountainous vineyard. Grape clusters are controlled to carry limited yields per vine to provide optimal juice concentration.
Taste Profile: Dense purple colour. Vivid aromas of blackberries, blueberries and plums along with hints of mocha, vanilla and cocoa powder. The medium to full-bodied palate shows velvety tannins and complexity with cassis flavours complemented by notes of mint on the long finish.
Winemaking Process: Careful handpicking of the fruit in the beginning of September usually at dawn and dusk to make sure the grapes are cool upon arrival at the winery. De-stemming and fermentation at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks until initial fermentation is complete. The wine ages for 12 months in French oak barrels (30% new) and a small portion of American oak barrels.
