Houou Genpei Junmai Daiginjo Namazumeenshu
Gorgeous scents waft from this sake, offering rich apple-like Ginjo aromas. A medium-dry Junmai Daiginjo that is crisp, light and plump. Well-balanced sweetness on the palate that is supported by a beautiful fresh taste and a bright acidity. Enjoy its evolution in the mouth and you'll find you never tire of drinking it due to its freshness!
Fun Fact: The brewery uses water from a well located within the brewery to brew sake. The water of Ono-shi was selected as one of the 100 best water sources in Japan and the high quality of the water makes the taste of their sake soft.
Made with Yamada Nishiki sake rice from the Fukui prefecture and with a polish rate of 48%. Pasteurised once, Namazume.
The brewery is located in Ono, a very rare town where most of the houses still have their own wells and use this well water instead of tap water. The water of Ono-shi was selected as the 100 best water sources in Japan. Genpei Shuzo also has its own well in the brewery and the quality of water is very transparent and clean.
