Description

Naudin Pere Et Fils Clos Roussots Maranges 1er Cru 2019

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir grown on marly limestone soils from Maranges, a premier cru appellation of Burgundy, France

Taste Profile: Deep ruby color that shines brightly. On the nose, full of black fruits, notes of cherry, raspberry and blackberry. The scent of kirsch is also present, adding a layer of complexity. On the palate, supple with elegante tannins that provide a smooth mouthfeel. The fruits flavours are even more pronounced, with some ripe red berries. The finish leaves a lasting impression of fruit and spice that lingers long after the wine is gone.

Winemaking Process: After a manual harvest, the fruit is destemmed and underly fairly long fermentation in open vats. 19 days of skin contact, followed by pneumatic press with daily punch downs. Aged in barrel for 14 months, of which 20% are new
