Description

Morlet Wines Zinfandel The 8th Deadly Zin 2014

Zinners be grinners. Fabulous with roasts. If you are looking for a full-bodied flavorsome wine this is it.

The label features the painting "The Apple Salesman", a painting by West Australian artist, Michael O’Connell, 2018

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% single vineyard low yield zinfandel. From Margaret River, Australia.

Taste Profile: Deeply coloured and showing good viscosity indicating the richness of alcohol and body. The aroma is of raspberry fruit characters being lifted by the alcohol, showing good medicinal characters with an undercurrent of Mediterranean herbs and dried spices. The taste is rich and satisfying. Heat from the alcohol is evident but is balanced by fruit and wood ageing. The wine lingers attractively on the finish. A big complex style that will reward with keeping although it can be enjoy now.

Winemaking Process: Grapes were handpicked, chilled and crushed into small open fermenters.Following fermentation, winemaker Dylan Arvidson matured the wine for 14 months in a blend of American and French oak barrels.
