Bodegas Valduero

Created by Gregorio García Álvarez in 1984, Valduero is a family-run winery in the small village of Gumiel del Mercado (Burgos) and was one of the first wineries to be founded in the D.O. Ribera del Duero appellation.

Description

Bodegas Valduero Finca Azaya 2017

Grape Varietals & Region: 100& Tempranillo from the estates of "Azaya La Grande" and "Las Barridas". High altitude vineyards over 950metres above sea level, with unique sandy pebble soils.

Taste Profile: Ruby colored wine. Fine and persistent aromas, as result of its stay in toasted oak barrels. Mentholated aromas, liquorice and coffee roasting. On the palate it is a perfectly balanced and well-coordinated wine. We can notice its maturity and power.

Winemaking Process: Vineyard of more than 20 years. Native yeasts provide the character and personality of the terroir. At least 14 months in oak barrels, and 12 months in bottle
