Description

Burja Stranice 2018

Grape varietal & region: Burja Stranice 2018 is a white wine made from 100% Rebula (Ribolla Gialla) grape variety grown in the Vipava Valley of Slovenia. The winemakers at Burja Estate use biodynamic and sustainable viticulture practices to create a unique expression of the Rebula grape.

Taste profile: The wine has a bright and golden color with aromas of ripe peaches, apricots, and a hint of citrus. On the palate, it is full-bodied, well-structured, and complex with flavors of stone fruits, honey, and a subtle hint of minerality. It is fermented with native yeasts in oak barrels and aged for 18 months on the lees before bottling.

Winemaking processBurja Estate is a small family-owned winery that focuses on creating wines with a sense of place and minimal intervention. They believe in using sustainable farming practices and natural winemaking techniques to produce high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Vipava Valley.

Burja Stranice 2018 has won numerous awards including the Decanter World Wine Awards Gold Medal, Vinous 93 points, and Wine & Spirits 92 points.
