Quinta do Vallado

Quinta do Vallado, built in 1716, is one of the oldest and more famous “quintas” in the Douro Valley. It belonged to the legendary Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira and remains to this day in the hands of her descendants

Description

Quinta do Vallado Tinta Roriz 2019

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Tinta Roriz, from vineyards in the Douro Valley, from the sub-regions of Baixo Corgo, Cima Corgo and Douro Superior.

Taste Profile: Very concentrated, with balsamic notes of oak wood, very ripe red fruits and curry notes. Full-bodied and fleshy, with a pronounced red fruit flavor. The finish is powerful and exotic, with ripe and round tannins.

Winemaking Process: Vinification in stainless steel vats with controlled temperature and programmed pumping over. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred to 225 liter oak barrels where it remains for 16 months.
