Rupert & Rothschild Baroness Nadine 2019 is a South African white wine made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes grown in the vineyards of the Rupert & Rothschild estate in Franschhoek. The wine has a beautiful golden color and a complex aroma of ripe tropical fruits, citrus, and oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied with flavors of ripe peach, apricot, and vanilla, balanced by a refreshing acidity and a long, elegant finish.
The Chardonnay grapes for this wine were handpicked and sorted before being gently pressed to extract the juice. The juice was then fermented in a combination of new and second-fill French oak barrels, where it underwent malolactic fermentation and was aged for 10 months on the lees. The wine was then blended and bottled, with a total production of 8,000 cases.
