Description

Below & Above Chardonnay 2019

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay from Pemberton, Australia. The vineyard had initially been planted in the mid 1990s & in 2013 under the direction of well known contract wine maker Bruce Dukes, they decided to produce their own wines under, Below & Above.

Taste Profile: A complex nose of toasty aromas of ripe stone fruit, curry leaf and notes of brioche. Similarly, the palate is a multi-layered mix of savoury fruit intensity, toasty oak and nutty flavours of cashews, pistachio and macadamias. The integrated acidity through the middle takes it to a very long dry savoury precise finish.

Winemaking Process: Whole cluster pressing & matured sur lie in French oak, of which 30% are new for 10 months. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation
