Description

Brash Higgins MCC Mataro Cinsault Carignan 2020

Grape Varietals & Region: 40% Mataro (all whole bunch), 30% Cinsault, 30% Carignan, from Lennon Vineyard, McLaren Vale

Taste Profile: Ruby red with an attractive nose of clove, cinnamon, cherries and roses, the MCC delivers wildness and perfume in equal measures. Sweet red fruit contrasts the spiciness on the palate and finishes clean, dry and focused with rose petal and cherry notes on the after breath. Good acidity keeps the wine bright and fresh faced, albeit rustic and food friendly.

Winemaking Process: All the fruit was hand picked on the same day and co-fermented wild with heaps of whole bunch Mataro to develop the peppery notes we wanted.
