Owner and harvester since 1800 in the heart of Beaujolais, Louis Tête is passionate about searching for the best wines. Their only concern is excellence to satisfy wine expectations and the evolution of taste, all within the purest respect for tradition.
Justine Head: “There is not only the ‘Nouveau’ (far from it!) and if the Beaujolais are consumed all year round, they can also age up to 5 years (or more) as the "terroir" Gamay grape variety seduces by its depth, its juice, its maturity in the fruit.”
Louis Tête wines uphold these values. At a place called Les Dépôts, a few kilometers from Beaujeu, the historic capital of Beaujolais, the Tête family has remained in the service of wine since the beginning of the 19th century. Today, Jean and his daughter Justine ensure continuity and remain faithful to this adage that "nothing can be created without relying on its past, its experience and its roots.”
The Tête family owns 20 hectares of vineyards in Lantignié Château des Alouettes and Quincié Domaine des Jumelles for the Beaujolais Villages; in Régnié, Brouilly and Moulin-à-Vent for the crus.
