The Alta Alella winery is located along the Mediterranean Sea, just 25 kilometers from Barcelona city within the wine region (DO) Alella. Alta Alella was founded by Josep Maria Pujol-Busquets and Cristina Guillén in 1991 on the 19th century Can Genís estate. Since the beginning, the winery has practiced certified organic farming techniques, creating a well-balanced ecosystem that respects the native flora and fauna.
A family that has always been dedicated to viticulture, Josep Maria and Cristina have spent their whole lives sharing the wine and cava culture. Their daughters Mireia and Georgina grew up surrounded by vineyards, grapes, harvests and bottles. It’s in their DNA. Knowledge, passion, perseverance and dedicated to transparency. A lifestyle.
The winery Alta Alella has 17 hectares of vines and uses no less than 17 different grape varieties in their ecological wines. Among the red varieties are Pinot Noir and Syrah, while Pansa Blanca and Chardonnay are some of the favourite white grapes.
