Description

Juan Gil 12 Meses Silver Label Monastrell 2021

A pure expression of Monastrell, the queen variety in the Jumilla area.

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Monastrell, the reigning red grape varietal in Jumilla, Spain. The grapes come from a single estate of old vines over forty years old planted on soils of limestone and stone, at an altitude of about 800 metres above sea level.

Taste Profile: Powerful, voluminous, expressive and with lots of personality.  Intense aromas of ripe fruits accompanied by spicy notes on the nose. On the palate, it surprises with its delicious velvety tannins that harmoniously accompany flavors of ripe black fruits with characteristic hints of its aging. A powerful, warm, and silky red wine, delightfully seductive.

Winemaking Process: The malolactic fermentation and aging, which lasts for 12 months, takes place in French oak barrels.
