Description

Maurice Gavignet Chambolle-Musigny 2014

The Côte de Nuits (named after walnut trees) is home to 24 Grand Cru vineyards and some of the world’s most expensive vineyard real estate.

The Grand Cru vineyards form a patchwork on the eastern slopes facing the valley of the Saône River, starting at the village of Gevery Chambertin, past Morey St-Denis and south to Vougeot and Vosne Romanée.

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir from the Chambolle-Musigny region

Taste Profile: The style of a classic perfumed style of Chambolle-Musigny. This wine has a sparkling color, a nose with intense red fruit aromas and a racy palate with silky tannins leading to a powerful and rich finish.

Winemaking Process: Their wines age in Merrain French oak barrels for 18 months and our vintages contain from 25% to 100% new barrels depending on the appellation. The exact percentages are not disclosed
