Description

Commune of Buttons Basket Town Pinot Noir 2021

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir from the Basket Range of the Adelaide Hills. It comes from a mix of vineyards in Summertown, Basket Range & Piccadilly. Designed as a blend that showcases the best of Piccadilly Valley.

Taste Profile: Delicate & flowery that shows concentration & density. It's a soft wine with lovely purity and prettiness, but with a dash of serious pinosity

Winemaking Process: Fruit picked nice and early by Jasper Button, wild ferment, old oak - gently, gently all the way to bottle. The ferments were pressed at around 10 days with the wine settled in tank and allowed to pass through malolactic fermentations. The elevage was for 6 months in barriques and hogsheads on fine lees. The parcels were blended and aged for a further 4 months in stainless steel.
