Description

Champagne Le Brun de Neuville Le Croisee des Chemins Empreinte Extra Brut

A single vineyard approach to Champagne making.

Grape Varietals & Region: 75% Chardonnay  25% Pinot Noir, from selected plots in the Cote de Sezanne. From southeast vineyards averaging 45 years grown on clay & chalk soils

Taste Profile: A little smoke-and-metal tense, following the mineral-reduction line. Fruit on the back foot, this is a powerful wine defined by acidity and weight and its broad-shouldered confidence. Heavy brushed-silk texture and tiny bubbles. A bold, strong, direct full-frontal finish

Vinification: Slow fermentation in barrels & tanks, with 10 months on lees. This is followed by 48 to 60 months on lees in bottle ageing before disgorgement
