Fruktstereo The MVP 2020
The Cuvee is made with different batches of pear and apple ferments from 2019 and 2020. The different fermentations include co-fermented pear and apple cuvees, directly pressed pear juice, and batches that have undergone skin maceration. Some of the batches have been stored under flor, meaning that during fermentation, the juice protects itself from oxygen with a thin layer of yeast. The mix of different vintages makes MVP taste fresh and energetic, but also complex and big.
About Fruktstereo
Based in central Malmö, Sweden, Frukstereo is a collaboration between Karl Sjöström & Mikael Nypelius, who both worked as sommeliers in fine dining throughout Scandinavia. Inspired by forward thinking friends, cider and natural wine producers, they decided to challenge the way wine and cider is perceived in the Nordic region.
With Fruktstereo, they want to create natural alcoholic beverages without additives, using sustainably grown Swedish produce without pesticides. Only the indigenous yeast in the fruit is used, with no manipulation that they do not see as natural.

Founded in 2019, we were bored with the typical Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Amarone & Moscato offerings at most bars & restaurants, and were inspired to dive deeper into the wine world!
