The fruit used is of very high quality with tremendous concentration and structure. Its reputation within Margaret River has many of the top producers source grapes from this vineyard. At the Peccavi Estate, there are two ranges of wines - “Peccavi”, 100% estate-grown fruit and “No Regrets”, a blend of the Peccavi vineyard and other top vineyards in the region.
The vineyards thrive in an ideal, balanced maritime climate where winds from Antarctica carry the purest rainfall to feed the vines in the winter and cooling sea breezes from the Indian Ocean moderate the long dry summer days.
During the hot growing period, the viticulture practices encourage vine roots to drive deep, past loamy topsoils, down to the sub-strata of ancient granite in search of nutrients and water. This process concentrates flavour in the fruit and adds natural mineral characters to the finished wines.
Grapes are carefully hand-picked to select only the best for Peccavi wine productions. This labour in the vineyard and winery is time-consuming but is also motivated by a passion to handcraft top-quality wine.
