Description
Veramonte Chardonnay 2019
Veramonte Chardonnay is an organic wine from Casablanca Valley, Chile. Pale gold colour. Fresh and expressive pear, quince and lemon curd aromas with interwoven toasty oak notes. The medium-bodied palate is dry with a vividly crisp acidity and beautiful texture. Pure fruit flavours of ripe pear, green apple and lemon zest with a dash of pineapple and vanilla. A fruity, smooth, lush everyday drinker.

100% Chardonnay. Harvesting of the fruit at first light. After whole cluster pressing, the juice sits for 24 hours and is then racked off. Barrel fermentation for 15% of the wine in neutral oak with wild yeasts, and the rest in stainless steel tanks. 30% of the wine undergoes spontaneous malolactic fermentation, enhancing the Chardonnay’s softness and creaminess without losing its freshness.
