Roberto Sarotto Barolo DOCG 2018
Roberto Sarotto Barolo is one of the flagships of Piedmontese enology. Intense garnet red colour with orange reflections. Ethereal and complex aromas of ripe red fruit, crushed violets and spices. The dry and full-bodied palate is robust with a velvety mouthfeel, well-integrated and polished tannins. Intense flavours of ripe red cherries, prunes, vanilla, leather and a hint of anise spice on the finish.
Ageing potential: Drink now or keep for up till 15 years from vintage!
100% Nebbiolo. The fruit comes from different vineyards within the Barolo appellation. The vines grow in calcareous marlstone soils.
Harvesting the fruit by hand. A minimum of 18 months ageing in French oak barrels, followed by a maximum of 38 months in bottle.
