Description
Paladin Syrah 2018
Red fruit jam. Pepper spice. And everything nice. These are the ingredients to create the perfect Syrah. (Hold on, just a second, I've been transported back to 1963: Sugar and spice. And all things nice. Kisses sweeter than wine.)
Deep ruby red with violet reflections. An intense and enveloping bouquet of peppery spices, red berry and cherry fruit jam. Soft but concentrated, with smoky undertones of caramel on the palate. Perfectly balanced with a harmony of soft acidity, modest dryness, silky tannins and a long red fruit finish.
Paladin's Syrah is an elegant interpretation of this grape variety. The controlled yield of this generous vine is harvested at optimal maturity. Vinified in stainless steel tanks at an average temperature of 25°C with maceration lasting for about 15 days. Matured in wooden barriques of 3/4 passage to obtain a slow oxygenation from the wood and allow original tannin development to give the wine its softness.
