Description

Kuheiji Coteaux Bourguignons 2019

Kuheiji Coteaux Bourguignons is fruity, sweet and tempting. Elegant, dry and harmonious palate with fine tannins and a moderate acidity to tighten the body. Has a sweet and sour taste, like freshly baked baguettes topped with raspberry jam. Dry aftertaste where pepper and clove spice flavours unique to this appellation emerge, just to leave you with a charming impression.

60% Pinot Noir and 40% Gamay. The fruit for this wine comes from old vine (Vieilles Vignes denomination) varietals growing in diverse soils and subsoils in the Coteaux Bourguignons appellation. Although the varietals are planted in different wine growing areas, they are generally found in limestone soils combined with marl or clay.

Minimum human intervention to allow free expression of the terroir. Fermentation at controlled temperatures. Ageing in (up to 80%) new, medium-toasted barrels.
