Description

Jan Matthias Klein Orange Utan 2021

Grape Varietals & Region: Riesling 65%, Muskateller (Yellow Muscat) 35%, from Mosel, Germany

Taste Profile: The wine has a hazy apricot color with refreshing acids, good grip, and generous mouthfeel in spite of its delightfully modest 11.5% alcohol. Rich peach fruit and texture balanced by salty acidity. A very delicious and surprisingly fine orange wine.

Winemaking Process: Very long fermentation (including some carbonic maceration) and aging on the skins for six months in large casks is followed by bottling without filtration or addition of SO2.
