Il Fitto Syrah Cortona DOC 2016
This vanilla Syrah is also spicy and powerful. Intense and complex aromas of dark berries, red fruit and spice on a broad vanilla background. Impressions of nettles and dried herbs, as well as blood oranges and iron rust accompany more vanilla in the full-bodied palate. Chewy and concentrated with an elegant balance. Ends with a mineral note on the fruity, persistent finish.Sourced from vineyards situated amongst the gentle hills between Cortona and Montepulciano, with a mild and generous climate that is optimal for the cultivation of vines. Out of respect for nature and the environment, they use traditional methods to prune, thin and select the grape bunches. The fruit is gently pressed and then fermented in stainless steel tanks. Aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, followed by 6 months in bottle. Drink from 2021. Ageing potential of 10ā15 years from vintage.
