Grape Republic Muscat Bailey A opens with notes of black cherries, gummy bears and pepper. Slightly more “normal” Japanese red from Grape Republic that isn't as crazy or unique as some of their whites.
100% Muscat Bailey A. The fruit comes from Grape Republic's organic vineyards in Yamagata, Japan.
20% whole bunch grapes were spread in the bottom of a tank. The rest goes through destemming. Fermentation on skins for 8 days, then pressing. The wine ages in stainless steel vats for 9 months before bottling.
