Description
Fukugao Bourbon Barrel Aged Sake
Brewed from Koshitanrei rice. Here comes an innovative, complex product from a traditional sake brewery. Using the same whiskey cask from Kentucky USA, sake is stored in the same barrels. The combination of Japanese sake with subtle hint of oak from the whiskey barrel brings together an unprecedented flavor to form a new flavour.
Rather woody in the nose with flavours of coffee combined with a hint of vanilla and coconut. The maturation in the Bourbon barrel gives this a mellow, fruity-sweetish and tangy taste with notes of dark chocolate, a bit of vanilla and hazelnut. This makes for a unique flavour that is best enjoyed at room temperature.
Highly recommended for Whisky Drinkers.
