Description
Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut is a classic sparkling wine from Spain's Penedès region, made using the traditional méthode champenoise. The wine is a blend of Macabeo, Xarel·lo, and Parellada grape varieties, resulting in a bright and crisp flavor profile. On the nose, there are aromas of green apple and citrus, while the palate is refreshing with notes of lemon and a hint of toast.
During winemaking, the grapes are harvested by hand and pressed gently to extract only the best juice. The first fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by a second fermentation in the bottle. The wine is aged on the lees for up to 12 months before disgorgement, which gives it a creamy texture and complex flavor.
