Description
Domaine Faiveley Bourgogne Chardonnay
This buttery and complex pale-yellow Chardonnay is at once intense, dense and fruity. The nose is dominated with citrus and floral notes, followed by hints of flint. Crisp and dry, the soft palate is a delicate balance of tropical fruits. Fresh apple, lively peach and mineral overtones, with supple vanilla and lemon undertones.
Processing an outstanding crop of chardonnay grapes (due to the intensely hot and dry summer of 2015) through expert combination of traditional and modern winemaking techniques. Domaine Faiveley produced an elegant, fruity and mineral-driven Chardonnay. The wine is vinified at cold temperatures in stainless steel tanks and aged in Domaine Faiveley's deep 19th century cellars for 8ā10 months on fine lees in French oak barrels. These barrels come from high-quality barrel makers and have been rigorously selected for their fine grain and light toast.
Bourgogne, with its continental climate and limestone soil, is a legendary wine region that sets the benchmark for Chardonnays. Faiveley firmly believes quality fruits need to be used in order to produce excellent wine. The Bourgogne Chardonnay 2015 is sourced from vineyards throughout Bourgogne that they are in partnership with and regularly perform quality checks in.
