Description
Domaine Henri Milan Luna & Gaia 2021
Domaine Henri Milan Luna & Gaia has superb poise and freshness. Opens with a nose of dried fruits, caramel, Provencal 'garrigues' and a hint of amontillado sherry on top. The palate has a beautiful texture, tastes like peach iced tea and orange citrus, and has an understated symbiosis that promotes complexity and drinkability.
Fun Fact: This wine is named after the two dogs of the domaine. Luna is a white Jack Russel and Gaïa is a black Labrador.
Blend of Roussane, vermentino and Grenache Blanc. The fruit for this wine comes from Domaine Milan's vineyards, which are grown with organic and biodynamic practices. The 10-year-old vines grow in the blue clay and limestone soils of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in the heart of the Alpilles, France.
Manual harvesting of the grapes. Whole cluster co-maceration for 20 days. Fermentation in old wood barrels and cement tanks with indigenous yeasts found naturally on the skins of the grapes. No filtering or fining before bottling. Low sulphites.
