Description
Cantine Volpi - Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOC 2017
Made of 100% Barbera grapes, this bottle from Cantine Volpi is vivid ruby red in color. Blackberry jam and ripe cherries followed by layers of chocolate, mocha, cassis, licorice, coffee liqueur and smoke. Intensely flavorful and full-bodied with silky, polished tannins, all of which leads to a long, rich finish.14 months of which 6 months in barrels.
We matched this with Beef bolognese and some Romano cheese with extra Pecorino on the side. Brings out the fruitiness of the wine with a pleasant oaky finish.
