Description
Bindi Sergardi - Chianti Classico 'La Ghirlanda' DOCG 2016
La Ghirlanda (the Garland) is a crown, an ornament, a celebration. La Ghirlanda is a special place: a wood, on Mocenni estate, surrounding the vineyard of this wine. A wine that crowns the palate, adorns the sense of smell and celebrates a sensorial experience, embracing the unforgettable moment of the first taste.
Grown in the province of Siena at an altitude of 500metres. These grapes have thrived on Alberese and Galestro stones in the Tenuta Mocenni Estate. Intense ruby red in color. An ample and complex bouquet, with distinct notes of violet flowers, blackcherries/ plum and spices. The palate is vigorous and vibrant, a lovely acidic vein fused with a lot of flavor make it an ample and balanced wine. Elegant and soft tannins. The finish and aftertaste are persistent and lingering. A true and authentic expression of a Sangiovese.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats where maceration lasts 16/18 days at a controlled temperature of 28/30° C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is transferred into oak barrels, thereafter the bottled wine then remains stored in the cellar for refinement prior to its release.
Ideally to serve at 18C° – open 1 hour ahead of time. Store at a constant temperature of circa 17C° away from light.
Psst... Chianti wine is made primarily with Sangiovese grapes grown in delimited production areas in the provinces of Siena. Namely Florence, Pistoia, Pisa, Prato and Arezzo. The gentle, amply terraced hills and valleys of the area offer fine wine from vineyards, traditional symbols of the Tuscan landscape. The beauty, history, and unique flavors of Tuscany, are all reflected in this fresh and fruity wine. Courtesy of the most well-known and loved region of Italy in the world.
