Bertani Catullo Ripasso Valpolicella Classico Superiore 2016

Wine of medium body, with gentle spicy notes of vanilla and chocolate and the typical notes of cherry, black cherry and white pepper. On the palate, freshness and drinkability (typical of Valpolicella) combine with a silky tanninc structure and an intense aromatic persistence, typical of Amarone. Fresh, soft and sapid finish. A elegant, balanced and harmonic wine with a classic style.

Blend of 70% Corvina Veronese, 20% Corvinone, 10% Rondinella.

The grapes are harvested from the plot of Tenuta Novare. Tenuta Novare used to be an Amarone till the 2015 vintage- then Bertani decided to declassify the production and hence provide great value for everyday drinking - less ageing in oak barrel and a much more approachable price point.
