Description
Alexandre Giquel Vouvray 2021
Alexandre Giquel Vouvray has bright tones of beeswax and honey with a hint of underripe apricot and yeasty notes. Balanced Chenin Blanc with a fantastic acidity. Pairs perfectly with an evening of good banter.
100% Chenin Blanc. The fruit comes from Alexandre Giquel's vines in Vouvray, Loire. The vines are naturally farmed using horses to plow the fields and grow in clay soils with silex, a subsoil of Tuffeau.
Minimal intervention in the cellar. Pressing using an old vaselin, fermentation in neutral tanks, malolactic fermentation in old barrels. The wine goes through barrel ageing in caves.
