Description
Akemi Tinto 2019
Akemi Tinto is a creation born from the combined talent and know-how of the Ontañón family winemaking team and Michelin star chef Félix Jiménez. Opens with a small universe of scents that give total meaning to the Japanese word Akemi. Elegant profile with beautiful floral notes, a silky smooth mouthfeel and mineral nuances that linger into its long, delicate finish.
Fun Fact: In Japanese, "akemi" means clarity and beauty.
Blend of three flagship varieties from Spain: Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano. Careful selection of fruit from the Ontañón family vineyards in Rioja, Spain. All of the vineyards are located on the edge of the area of cultivation and have very limited yields as they are cup pruned and have an average age of 35 years. Detailed survey of the character of each soil and the aromatic profiles of different varieties to fine-tune the final blend.
Ageing potential: 5 years.
