AWARDS & ACCOLADES
This offers classically ripe blackberry, cassis and plum aromas with purple-flower notes, too. The palate is beautifully even and measured with smoothly honed tannins, delivering a plush, sweeping build to the balanced, fresh finish. Drink or hold.
The 2017 Golden Reserve Malbec was produced with fruit from the four districts in Luján de Cuyo, and it was produced in a traditional way: aged in oak but preserving the varietal fruit and the round tannins, with a round palate and finesse. It’s not as dense as before, with more elegance and a little less oak than in the past. It’s juicy and balanced, with good ripeness but without excess, and with fine tannins and some grip.
‘Fresh and fragrant nose of lavender, balsamic, plums, thyme, black pepper and sweet black cherries. Nice crunchy graphite texture, with a lovely core of fruit concentration supported by a lively acidity. Smart and delicious.’
