Description
Pujanza Finca Valdepoleo 2013
Finca Valdepoleo is one of the most emblematic vineyards of Bodegas y Viñedos Pujanza. The wine it produces is a clear example of the nature of the area in which it is located, but given a personal touch by Carlos San Pedro. From this dual character comes a fresh, vibrant, very subtle wine which is in total harmony. It comes from a vineyard divided into seven plots which are worked separately from the harvest to the end of cask ageing. This is the moment when, through blind tasting, the decision is made on what percentage of wine from each plot will go into the final coupage. Hence its complexity. Vintage 2013 Finca Valdepoleo is one of the most iconic Pujanza Vineyards where every year an accurate viticulture work is carried out according to geographical criteria.
Fermentation took place in small stainless steel vats, separated by soil type. Malolactic fermentation was conducted in the same vats. Cask Aging 14 months in French oak
Ruby cherry colour. Red fruit character which typically defines Carlos San Pedros reds. Delicate floral and balsamic notes and vibrant red fruit, slight woody-oaky notes. Medium -full body and low extraction, but very fresh, juicy and balanced. Fresher than expected and mouth-watering palate leaning towards a long finish.

AWARDS & ACCOLADES
This wine clearly shows the character of the vintage: light colored and very fragrant, with floral notes, a little atypical for Pujanza. The palate is medium-bodied, with fine tannins and lively acidity, vibrant and lively. This is very drinkable, its freshness makes it ideal for gastronomy. I love this wine.”
