Chateau Tournefeuille Lalande-de-Pomerol 2010
Aromas of ripe red plums, dark chocolate, cedar and warm spice. Concentrated black fruit flavors mix with dark aromatic chocolate-covered cherries, finishing a bit tight with warm spice and chewy tannins.
On the northern border of the acclaimed Pomerol region, Lalande de Pomerol is an incredible source of impressive Merlot-based wines, but at a fraction of the price compared to its southern neighbor. The region has the potential to offer the same concentration of the finest in Pomerol, but typically not without a touch of appealing rusticity.
AWARDS & ACCOLADES
The boysenberry, fig and warm currant confiture notes are layered seamlessly and lightly, while dark tea, singed alder and bay leaf notes fill in on the finish. Shows excellent depth and refinement.
