Description

Blankbottle Kortpad Kaaptoe Reserve 2020

The wine is named after an old footpath that Pieter Walser stumbled upon while traveling from the Swartland to Cape Town, where he found a stunning parcel of bush vines that produced this remarkable wine. The creamy texture and ripe tropical fruit flavors of the bottling evoke a fine Condrieu from the Rhone Valley.

Grape Varietals & Region: The Blankbottle Kortpad Kaaptoe Reserve is a blend of three pickings from the same vineyard of 100% Fernao Pires, also known as Maria Gomez, a native Portuguese grape variety.

Taste Profile: The wine has a deep golden-green color with enticing aromas of apricot, peach, mango, and pineapple, along with hints of honeysuckle, jasmine, and creamy yogurt. It is a full and rich dry white wine with a stylish yet powerful taste, perfect for pairing with roast chicken, creamy pasta dishes, or mature hard cheeses.
