US Washington Wine
Despite being a relatively unknown wine producing region, it's actually America's second most wine producing area, other than California.
Just north of Oregon, you would find the popular Walla Walla Valley, Columbia Valley & more here. With both hot & cool climates, the high sun exposure produces a great diversity of both white and red grape varietals, protected by it's mountain ranges. Chardonnay, Riesling, and the Bordeaux grapes are the most planted in this region, with Semillon commonly produced in a sweet, late-harvest style. However, there is great diversity here, and you will find other Italian & French grape varietals, as well as experiments in fortified, sparkling & dessert wines
