How do you make orange wines? Well, you mash up white grapes, and put them in a vessel together with the skins & seeds, and voila! The addition of the seeds especially causes them to taste different from regular white wines, and often have a slight tart sour taste & nuttiness from oxidation. Robust, bold, honeyed, while being big, dry with slight tannin & sourness, they're often intense. Best paired with equally intense foods like curry, or Middle Eastern cuisines. Italy, Slovenia, and Georgia would be the forerunners in reinvigorating this wine making style, although Australia has caught on pretty darn well
