Description
Ciù Ciù - Rosso Marche "Oppidum" ORGANIC IGT 2014
"I want nobody nobody but (ci)ù, I want nobody nobody but (ci)ù"
oh yeah we went there...
One of Italy’s hidden gems is the Marche region, which has historically played third fiddle to its more popular neighbors, Tuscany and Umbria.
Ciù Ciù's Rosso Marche Oppidum is 100% Montepulciano grapes. Colour red with purple shades. Lingering aroma, notes of red fruit, spices, and dried fruits. Blueberry aromas with violet, dried herb, nutmeg notes. An expressive wine with redcurrant comfit, blue fruit flavors and plentiful chalky textures.
A large part of the quality of this wine depends on the variety, weather and the soil. The natural ecosystem in which the vines are grown, above all the “terroir” (microclimate, soil and subsoil) gives the wine its character and quality. The wine’s sugar content, acidity, PH, colour, tannin and bouquet depend on these factors, then oenological techniques are applied to this wine
