Description

Budureasca Noble 5 2019

Budureasca Noble 5 is like the portrait of a royal family that has ruled these lands for centuries. Each of its 5 grape varieties plays an integral part. Cabernet Sauvignon is the King with a commanding presence, bold tannins and just a hint of spice. Pinot Noir is the Queen with a beautiful bouquet of forest fruits and soft velvety tannins. Merlot is the eldest Prince with a well-rounded structure and charming long finish. Syrah is the youngest Prince with lively aromas of blackcurrant and black pepper. Feteasca Negra is the Princess, charismatic, soft and elegant.

Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Fetească Neagră. The fruit comes from Budureasca's best plots in Dealu Mare, Romania.

Taste profile: Dark ruby in colour. The palate has an elegant structure and a fruity taste of black cherries and dried plums with fine notes of cinnamon, cloves and a minty sensation on the finish. This wine has an excellent potential for ageing and will reveal its true potential with time.

Winemaking process: Separate vinification for each variety. For efficient extraction, the must has a classical fermentation-maceration over 20 days. All the wines mature in French and Romanian oak barrels for 12 months. After this period, the winemaker selects only the best barrels and carefully crafts these 5 noble grape varieties together. It takes 3 months to make the blend so it can become a harmonious and truly noble wine.
